Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon sugar (for coating)
  • Oil for frying (or spray for air fryer)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions and shape into small balls.
  4. Heat oil in a pan or preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry in oil until golden brown (2–3 minutes), or air fry for 6–7 minutes, turning halfway through.
  6. Remove and immediately roll in cinnamon sugar.
  7. Serve warm with coffee, cocoa, or straight out of the bowl like I do.
