Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground breakfast sausage
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 6 slices bread, cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and dry mustard.
  3. Layer the bread cubes in a greased baking dish. Sprinkle cooked sausage and cheese over the bread.
  4. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the top.
  5. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes or until set and golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
