Margherita Flatbread – A Go-To for Easy Recipes for Dinner

Ever had one of those days where cooking a full meal feels like running a marathon on a treadmill that’s somehow uphill? 😅 Same here. That’s why I keep this Margherita Flatbread in my back pocket. It’s fast, it’s easy, and oh wow, it’s ridiculously satisfying. You get all the flavors of pizza with none of the stress—just grab some flatbread, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil. Boom. Dinner. 🍕 This recipe is my weeknight secret weapon. I’ve made it after long commutes, during chaotic Tuesdays, and even as a lazy Sunday treat. The crust gets perfectly crisp, the cheese melts into these golden puddles of joy, and the basil? Just don’t skip it. Ever. Trust me. 🌿 Best of all, it checks the boxes for easy recipes for dinner, quick and easy recipes, bread easy recipes, easy air fryer recipes, sweet easy recipes (hey, it’s comforting!), easy vegan recipes (with swaps), and yes—even easy pasta recipes (if you swap the base, get creative 😉).

Ingredients

  • 2 flatbreads (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • 1 large tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • Olive oil for drizzling
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F. If you’ve got a pizza stone, now’s its time to shine.
  2. Place flatbreads on a baking sheet. Slather on the sauce like you mean it.
  3. Layer mozzarella and tomato slices on top. Keep it artsy—this is flatbread, not geometry class.
  4. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and drizzle with olive oil like a pro.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the edges are crisp enough to make you proud.
  6. Top with fresh basil just before serving. Slice it up and pretend you're in a tiny Italian café.
