Ingredients

  • 1 (30 oz) bag frozen hashbrowns, thawed
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup crushed cornflakes or breadcrumbs (for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together hashbrowns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, shredded cheese, melted butter, chopped onion, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, combine crushed cornflakes or breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the casserole.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
