Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 sandwich buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomato
  • Sliced red onion
  • BBQ sauce or your favorite sandwich sauce

Instructions

  1. Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness for quick and even grilling.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place chicken in a zip-top bag or shallow dish and pour marinade over it. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates.
  5. Grill chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before assembling the sandwiches.
  7. Toast buns lightly on the grill if desired.
  8. Assemble sandwiches with lettuce, tomato, grilled chicken, onion, and a drizzle of BBQ sauce.
