Ingredients

  • 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) vanilla or yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly in the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drop spoonfuls over the strawberry filling.
  4. Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the top, covering the entire surface.
  5. Drizzle melted butter evenly over the cake mix, ensuring all dry areas are covered.
  6. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if using.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
