Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cooked white rice for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced steak with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add the remaining oil to the skillet. Sauté the bell peppers, onion, and garlic for about 3 minutes until slightly tender.
  4. In a small bowl, mix beef broth, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and black pepper.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet, pour in the sauce mixture, and stir well.
  6. Simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Serve hot over cooked white rice.
