Ingredients

  • 1 French baguette or ciabatta loaf
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the bread in half lengthwise and place both halves cut side up on the baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl, mix together softened butter, minced garlic, salt, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Spread the butter mixture evenly over both halves of the bread.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously over the top, followed by parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and starting to brown.
  7. For an extra crispy top, broil for an additional 1–2 minutes—watch closely!
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Slice and serve warm.
