Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix sliced steak with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak and sear until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add remaining oil to the skillet. Stir-fry bell peppers, onion, garlic, and ginger for 2 minutes.
  4. Return the beef to the skillet. Add beef broth, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Stir well.
  5. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens.
  6. Serve hot over cooked rice.
