Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple in juice (do not drain)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
  2. In a large bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add in the eggs and the undrained pineapple. Stir until just combined.
  4. Pour the batter into your prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  7. Once the cake is out of the oven and still hot, pour the warm topping evenly over the cake. Let it soak in before serving.
