Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly, then dry them completely.
  3. Poke each potato a few times with a fork to allow steam to escape.
  4. Rub the potatoes with olive oil, then sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  5. Place potatoes directly on the oven rack and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and the inside is fork-tender.
  6. Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then slice open and serve with your favorite toppings.
