  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil for frying

For the Bacon Gravy

  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Pork Chops

  1. In a shallow dish, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together eggs and buttermilk.
  3. Dip each pork chop into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat and fry pork chops for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Make the Bacon Gravy

  1. In the same skillet, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside.
  2. Add butter to the skillet and stir in flour, cooking for 1-2 minutes until lightly browned.
  3. Gradually whisk in milk, stirring constantly until the gravy thickens.
  4. Season with salt and pepper, then stir in the crispy bacon. Serve over the pork chops.
