Cinnamon Apple Cake That Melts in Your Mouth – Apple Dessert Recipes Easy

This cinnamon apple cake is the kind of dessert that smells like home. Picture this: soft chunks of sweet apple wrapped in a warm, cinnamon-laced batter that’s golden on top and just dense enough to be satisfying. I made this on a chilly Sunday afternoon once, and now it’s a must-bake every fall (and maybe once or twice in summer too, no shame). If you’re someone who enjoys the simple magic of pantry staples transforming into something glorious, this is your cake. It’s not showy or complicated—just classic, cozy, and absurdly good with a cup of tea or vanilla ice cream. Whether you’re baking for a family get-together or just want something sweet to keep on the counter for snacking, this one hits the spot.

Ingredients

  • 2 large apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line an 8-inch square baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together both sugars, eggs, oil, and vanilla until well combined.
  3. Add in the flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Stir until just combined.
  4. Fold in the chopped apples. The batter will be thick and chunky—exactly how it should be.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool slightly before slicing. It’s heavenly warm, but still great at room temp!
