Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, salt, and baking soda.
  3. In another bowl, mix buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
