Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (plus extra for serving)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce over the chicken, spreading it around to coat.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 2 hours, or until the chicken shreds easily with a fork.
  5. Shred the chicken using two forks right in the slow cooker or on a plate, then return it to the sauce and mix well.
  6. Add more BBQ sauce to taste and let it sit on warm for 10–15 minutes before serving.
