Baked Brie with Apples – Sweet Easy Recipes for Entertaining

There’s something oddly magical about warm, melty cheese wrapped in pastry—especially when apples and a touch of salted caramel get in on the action. This baked brie is one of those things I pull out when I want to look like I spent hours planning, even if I threw it together while my guests were kicking off their shoes. Think soft, gooey brie bubbling under a blanket of puff pastry, tart-sweet apples tucked in for good measure, and a glossy drizzle of caramel that pulls it all together. I don’t know who first paired cheese with something sweet, but I owe them big time. This one’s a crowd-pleaser. It checks all the right boxes: quick and easy recipes, air fryer desserts easy recipes (if you’re feeling creative), and it even sneaks into that category of sweet easy recipes your friends will pester you to make again. If you’re like me and love bread easy recipes and the idea of how to make donuts at home easy recipe vibes, you’ll love this too.

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz) wheel of brie cheese
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 small apple, chopped (I like Honeycrisp)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup salted caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Crackers or apple slices for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped apples and cinnamon, and cook until the apples are soft—about 5 minutes.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry and place the brie in the center. Top it with the warm apple mixture and a generous spoonful of salted caramel.
  4. Fold the pastry around the brie like you’re wrapping a cheesy present. Pinch the edges to seal and brush the top with egg wash.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden and puffy. Let it rest a few minutes before diving in (trust me on this one).
  6. Serve warm with crackers or apple slices. Or just a spoon. No judgment.
