Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups diced apples
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, and melted butter until combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in diced apples.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. While fritters bake, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the glaze.
  9. Once baked, drizzle glaze over fritters while warm and enjoy!
